Custom Tracking Domain
3min
A custom tracking domain allows Weberlo to track users using a first-party cookie linked to your domain instead of relying on a third-party cookie. This improves compatibility with browsers that restrict third-party cookies and ensures seamless tracking.
- Bypass Browser Restrictions – Many modern browsers block third-party cookies by default. Using a first-party tracking domain ensures your tracking remains intact.
- Better Data Reliability – Reduce the risk of data loss due to browser limitations on third-party cookies.
- Improved Compliance – Align with privacy regulations that favor first-party tracking methods.

Custom tracking domains are only available in the Business or Enterprise Plan. Follow these steps to configure a custom tracking domain in Weberlo:
- Navigate to the Custom Domain section under Setup.
- Enter your custom tracking domain (track.yourwebsite.com).
- The Weberlo team will verify the setup and enable first-party tracking for your domain.
- DNS Changes Not Propagating? It may take up to 24 hours for DNS changes to take effect.
- Incorrect CNAME Configuration? Double-check that the subdomain correctly points to tracking.weberlo.com.
- Verification Failed? Ensure your domain is active and properly configured in Weberlo before reaching out to support.
