Retrieving Your Facebook Pixel ID

Document image

To set up the Facebook Conversion API in Weberlo, you first need your Pixel ID. Follow these steps to retrieve it:

  1. Go to Facebook Events Manager.
  2. Copy the Pixel ID from the pixel section.
  3. Paste the Pixel ID into Weberlo’s Facebook Conversion API Integration settings.

How the Facebook Conversion API Works

Document image

Unlike the Facebook Pixel, which tracks browser events, Weberlo’s Conversion API only sends conversion events to Facebook, specifically:

  • New Leads – When a visitor submits a form.
  • New Purchases – When a customer completes an order.

Weberlo does not send Page View events through the Conversion API.

You still need the Facebook Pixel on all pages to track Page View events.

Make sure no other sources are sending conversion events to avoid duplicate events.

Activating Custom Conversions

Weberlo provides an option to send custom conversion events:

  • WeberloLead (for new leads)
  • WeberloPurchase (for purchases)

Test Purchase Required: Facebook requires at least one test purchase before you can create an adset optimized for custom conversions.

Use Case: If you already have an existing Conversion API setup but want to add Weberlo, using custom conversions prevents duplicate events.

Optimizing Ads: Once enough data is collected from custom conversions, you can use them to optimize ad performance and lower your CPA.

Monitoring Event Match Quality

Document image

You can view all events sent to Facebook and their attributes in Facebook Events Manager. Key attributes include:

  • fbc (Facebook Click ID)
  • fbp (Facebook Browser ID)

These attributes improve event match quality, increasing the accuracy of Facebook’s attribution. Always monitor these values to ensure they are being sent correctly by Weberlo.

By setting up the Facebook Conversion API properly, you can enhance tracking accuracy, reduce wasted ad spend, and improve campaign performance.
